At 22 years old, Balraj Singh has won victories in more martial arts than most of us will try in a lifetime. Now known professionally as ‘The Beast’, he grew up in Ilford and started kickboxing at just 6 years old. In 2018, Singh was signed to the American Kickboxing Academy in California – a programme that has produced some of the world’s most pre-eminent fighters, including heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier and the unbeaten UFC fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Following in these victors’ footsteps, Singh is now a professional MMA fighter and boxer. Never one to settle – and having already mastered kickboxing, mixed martial arts and professional boxing – Singh is also an accomplished Jiu-Jitsu fighter. He is a five-time British champion in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and has competed on the international stage countless times; his accolades include a worldwide gold medal awarded by the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation. Singh is currently training for his debut fight as a professional boxer, which will take place on his home turf of Essex in September 2021.
